You do not need to be sober for this test.
The result will be available from your doctor the same day.

You can easily come to us for this test if you have a prescription through your GP or gynecologist.
This can also be done through the midwife, if in agreement with your GP or gynecologist.

In the short sugar test or Glucose challenge test (GCT), blood sugar levels are measured 1 hour after drinking a sugar solution.
This sugar solution is available at our lancing center and so you do not need to bring your own.
The test is done via blood draw, but you do not need to be sober for this. This test can therefore be done at any time of the day.

The result is available the same day and is automatically added to your doctor’s electronic patient record as with all other lab results. Afterwards, everything can be discussed with your family doctor, gynecologist or midwife.

If the short sugar test is abnormal, it may indicate possible gestational diabetes and a more extensive sugar test should be conclusive. You can also contact us for this test.

Thanks to a pretecho, you will catch an exclusive glimpse of your little one.
It is a unique experience to admire your baby early on in a relaxed atmosphere.

It is important to note, however, that a pretecho can never replace a medical screening ultrasound at your gynecologist’s office.
