A check-up of key functions in your body
This comprehensive check-up panel not only determines your cholesterol and complete lipid profile as a sign of cardiovascular risk. It also measures several indicators of good liver and kidney function. The panel also detects diabetes at an early stage. It gives a good picture of your thyroid function, necessary iron intake, calcium levels and healthy fluid balance (minerals and salts). A comprehensive examination of red blood cells (anemia), white blood cells (infection and blood cancer) and platelets is done. Finally, the examination is completed with a review of a urine sample for signs of kidney damage and diabetes.
Especially for men, PSA/free PSA is also measured as an initial screening for prostate cancer and other prostate abnormalities. This panel thus includes the panel Prostate Basics.
